Chris
Carman (of Sangyo Ika Daigaku) and Bill Pellowe (of Aso Foreign Langauge Travel College)
will demonstrate a variety of practical and entertaining exercises and activities
for using videos to teach and learn English (or Japanese). They will talk about combining
types of exercises in a video lesson and adapting them to students of various levels,
and will discuss their students' reactions to video lessons. Carman will concentrate
on television shows, and Pellowe will concentrate on commercial videos, but the techniques
and approaches will usually be interchangeable. With 12 or more approaches being
presented, there's sure to be something new and useful for everybody.
